A part of the IVIA’s team belongs to the Rice Department established nearly 100 years ago. The other part of the team belongs to the Genomics Department of IVIA, and is involved in studying the function of the plant genes to improve some specific agronomic characters.

Copsemar is one of the main rice seed cooperative of Spain. Now, it has 27 partners of the main rice Spanish regions. The seed production is around 3.000 Tm.
